POSITION TITLE:   Reading Specialist 

 

REPORTS TO:  Building Principal (4th and 5th Grade Center)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, 190 contracted days to begin for the 2024-2025 school year.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• PA Reading Specialist Certification

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cooperate with teaching staff in planning instructional objectives and methods consistent with all students’ English Language Arts program
• Evaluate and identify individual student progress for intervention, remediation, or enrichment
• Participate in assessments and interventions
• Manage and organize English Language Arts instructional materials

• Provide leadership in curriculum assessment, instruction and professional development of the English Language Arts program

• Act as professional resource for other school personnel; collaborate to plan special events

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Building Principal

• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
